Studies
in Pragmatism and Values
A Special Series of the Value Inquiry Book Series
published by Editions Rodopi
Studies in Pragmatism and Values (SPV) aims to publish books in all areas of pragmatic inquiry. We especially welcome studies of both the history of American/European pragmatism and of recent pragmatisms; the pragmatic investigation into ethical/value theory and current moral issues; and pragmatic theories of communication, social action, and political discourse.
Books in this special series are submitted and published in English. Suitable works include monographs, thematic volumes, edited conference proceedings, and translations into English. The publisher of VIBS, Editions Rodopi, is an international publisher enjoying a reputation for the highest quality academic work across Europe, Asia, and North America. Therefore, SPV and its Board of Editors are especially eager to promote and publish cross-national philosophical discourse. Fast-rising interest in pragmatism is a phenomenon not only in the U.S., but also in Germany, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Japan, Brazil, and many other countries. SPV seeks out the very best work resulting from such interest, regardless of national origin, and looks for opportunities to connect researchers and their ideas. SPV will be a vital instrument to help advance pragmatism in the 21st century. SPV is sponsored by the Pragmatism Archive, the Central European Pragmatism Forum, the Philosophical Society of Finland, and the Center for the Study of American Philosophy, Brazil.
